Certified Hardware

We recommend the following rackmount servers for the use with our Proxmox Mail Gateway. Depending on your e-mail traffic you should choose a server from the list below. Proxmox uses a 2.6.24 Linux Kernel - supporting 99 % of modern and also outdated hardware.

Additionally, Proxmox runs quite acceptable on "OLD" hardware, so maybe you can re-use one of your existing servers or run in your favorite virtual environment.

We got best results with dual quad core Intel Xeon CPU servers and SAS Raid systems.
