Proxmox HA Cluster - Details & Pricing
We are proud to annonce the commercial availability of the HA Cluster. This is a big step forward to meet the demanding requirements on high availablity. In contrast to other vendors, we have no special hardware requirements and we do a full synchronisation of all data, including quarantined items and all statistics. Setup and management of the HA Cluster is done in minutes - extremely simple.
Pricing and Licensing: For each Cluster node you need a Proxmox Cluster license, this means if you want to run a Cluster with two nodes, you will need two licenses - MAC address coded and similar to the professional license.

Reducing Mail Traffic with 'Verify Reiceiver' option
By activating this option you can reject unknown receivers at SMTP level - this means you can reject messages before they are reaching your network - saving bandwith and processing power. During beta tests, we recorded traffic reduction by up to 90 %. This mechanism works with all mail servers and is included in all Proxmox versions. For details see the new Proxmox Deployment Guide 1.1.

POP3 Downloader
This feature enables downloading E-mails from POP3 accounts and send them to internal users. Available in all versions of Proxmox.

New Kernel 2.6.18
The new kernel includes new and many old hardware drivers which were removed because of copyright issues with hardware vendors. There is no need to upgrade existing installations (the servicepack 7 does not include the kernel), the new kernel is just in the new ISO image.

Customize your Proxmox
Customize the quarantine user interface by uploading your logo and using custom colors. The daily report can also be customized by using the template system.

SSH Security
SSH access is restricted for external networks by default to increase the security, configurable on the web interface "Configuration/System/SSH Access".
Note: for easy support, all SSH connections from proxmox.com and maurer-it.com are allowed. If you want to let us in, you just have to send us the login credentials as before.

Kasperksy Plugin - New Pricing
By beginning of 2007, we have a new and very attractive pricing schema for the Kaspersky Plugin. By using this additional virus scanning engine, all e-mails are scanned twice - KAV and ClamAV which means double security.

How can you get the update?
For Commercial or Trial version:
Download the servicepack 7. Please use the web interface to upload the file to your Proxmox. After applying the update, please check your configuration and all services, never update when you system is under heavy load.
User´s of the Free version:
You have to download the new ISO image 1.7 and reinstall your Proxmox. Please consider updating to a commercial license for easy updating. |
