Proxmox Mail Gateway 2.0 released

We are announcing the final release of Proxmox Mail Gateway 2.0 including Virtuozzo™ support.

Virtuozzo™ enables to run Proxmox as a Virtual Appliance with just a few clicks. Virtuozzo™ (and OpenVZ) uses OS virtualization which means maximum performance with all advantages from virtualization.

This is a major upgrade as we moved from Debian Sarge to Etch - Download

Virtuozzo™ Virtual Appliance (and OpenVZ)

Virtuozzo™ (Virtualization technology from http://www.swsoft.com/) creates isolated partitions on a single physical server and OS instance to utilize hardware, software, and management effort with maximum efficiency. Capabilities include:

Multiple virtual servers can run on the same physical server with complete function, fault and performance isolation
Server resources (i.e.: CPU, memory, I/O) can be moved from one virtual server to another in real time
Virtual servers can be migrated from one physical server to another with no service interruption
Resource allocation: change all resources in real-time, more configuration flexibility (able to burst to unused resources)
Highest density of virtualized servers - more than double consolidation density available with other virtualization
Virtualization with almost no overhead; typically below 2%

1. This is major distribution update and cannot be applied via web interface.

2. Check the current system status, make a backup.
